Blackpool to Buckshaw: Work Experience for Aspiring Footballer March 16th 2023 < back to all news Yesterday, we welcomed Bobby Bjork to our head office in Buckshaw Village, Chorley. An aspiring footballer, Bobby is on the books at Blackpool FC and was taking part in the club’s player development programme, where members of the academy explore potential careers outside of football. A straight-A student at school, Bobby spent time in our laboratory, workshop and project meetings and learned about the application of science, engineering and project management in the nuclear industry.
