NSG Staff Complete 6 Ferries Challenge for Mental Health Charity

On the 3rd of July, members of the NSG team completed the 6 Ferries Challenge in aid of mental health charity dare2express. The team were joined on the ride by trustees and supporters of the charity, as well as riders from sponsors Astute Technical Recruitment and Acorn Coaching & Development.

With limited services running, a late change to the schedule meant the team were only able to utilise three ferries on their revised 100km route. Despite the change and a forecast of inclement weather, the team commenced the ride bright and early and with great enthusiasm, knowing they had already raised over £8,000 for the charity. Taking in some of the finest sights the Isle of Wight has to offer on their way, the groups of riders crossed the finish line of the famous Randonnée route in a respectable range of four to six hours, accompanied by beaming smiles and sore legs.

Mark Newman, Managing Surveyor for NSG and Trustee of dare2express, commented:

I would like to give a massive thank you to our main sponsor NSG for their financial support and help organising the event, as well as Scantec Recruitment, Astute Technical Recruitment, Orbit Electrical Services, NIS and Acorn Coaching & Development for their generous donations. The money raised will help dare2express to continue providing much-needed support, grants and organised events for people suffering with mental health problems.
