Annual Charity Dinner Dance Helps Hospice at Home
On the 27th of September, NSG Environmental Ltd – along with sister companies NIS Ltd and Hold Engineering Ltd – held their fifth consecutive annual Charity Dinner Dance in support of Hospice at Home West Cumbria, which provides palliative care in the local community, and help and support to their carers and loved ones.
The evening, which took place at Hunday Manor Country House in Workington, was a great success, and was inclusive of a charity auction for which members of the local supply chain donated prizes – including a TV, signed Manchester United football shirt, Kindle, camera, and a stay at Hunday Manor. Thanks to the support and generousity of all that attended, £3429.00 was raised on the night, taking the total monies raised over the past five years to almost £10,000! This will help Hospice at Home continue to provide services during difficult times, and to develop new services required to meet the needs of West Cumbrian people.
The evening was supported by many local businesses, including Sellafield Ltd, Areva RMC, Nuvia Ltd, Babcock International, and LLWR Ltd – who NSG are currently working with to deliver a major decommissioning project on site.
Linda Hewitt, Chief Executive of Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said: “I would like to thank the Group very much for once again hosting the Charity Dinner Dance in aid of Hospice at Home West Cumbria. The evening was truly memorable, and those in attendance were very generous in their support and an amazing amount of money was raised.”
