Get to know our leadership team.

Jim has been with NSG for over 30 years and has played a key role in the development of the company. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director in 2016, Jim was responsible for NSG’s Science and Technology division, overseeing the development of the company’s technical and R&D capability. A University of Birmingham Chemistry graduate, Jim spent the early years of his career with British Nuclear Fuels plc. Jim loves attending football matches and walking his dog in his spare time.

Michelle joined NSG in 2011 and is responsible for the creation and successful expansion of NSG’s Consultancy Services division. With an international reputation in the fields of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste management, Michelle began her career at BNFL Sellafield before stints at Nirex, UKAEA and Babcock. A Geology graduate from the University of Leicester, Michelle is recognised as an industry leader in the preparation of LoC submissions and the provision of advice in meeting RWM requirements. Michelle is a member of the esteemed 100 Marathon Club and the proud owner of a rescue lurcher.

Andy joined NSG in the role of Programme Manager in 2011 and was chosen to lead the newly-formed Projects North division three years later. Having started his career as a Project Engineer with Magnox Electric, Andy then moved into project management and successfully delivered large decommissioning projects at numerous sites around the UK, including Sellafield, AWE, Berkeley and LLWR. Thanks to his extensive experience and passion for delivery, Andy is highly respected by customers and colleagues alike. A proficient golfer, Andy also enjoys hiking in the Lake District.

Mark has been with NSG since 2006 and has led the Projects South division since 2014, as well as being responsible for environmental, safety, health and quality matters. Since joining the company, Mark has been a major force behind NSG’s continued presence at AWE’s Aldermaston site. With a background in project delivery and management, Mark started his career with Alstec at British Energy stations before switching to AWE’s Cardiff and Aldermaston sites. Mark is a keen runner and his love of Formula 1 has seen him travel to numerous Grands Prix around the world.
