Facilities / Laboratory

NSG have a purpose built laboratory which is equipped with a fume cupboard and contains equipment for material testing, simulant preparation and wet chemistry.

Analytical equipment includes particle size analysis (Malvern Mastersizer) and viscometry (Brookfield RS). Other analytical techniques include pH, conductivity, sieving, size fractions, titrations, evaporations / distillations, and filtration etc. Product testing includes density by immersion, compressive strength (ELE 2000) and dimensional stability.

The laboratory is used to support client’s development work in a cost effective manner by carrying out scaled down work before moving to larger trials in the workshop. We also carry out ongoing product quality testing to ensure that we are providing the best service possible to our clients.
